Flexibility of choice

We have spent considerable time listening to parents about their needs and what is generally available. As a result we have developed an environment that takes into account their family needs and working day commitments by providing a range of extended support services:

• Nursery - full and half day care for 52 weeks of the year
• Out of school and holiday clubs - working around conventional school days including pick up and drop off
• Playgroup - Parent attended sessions providing a bilingual environment for child and parent to experience together
• School transport - Pick up service to a number of schools in the area
• Short notice care - Childcare to count on, when needed in an emergency
• Corporate plans - Substantial discounts for participating business park employers

Opening Hours

Our Nursery is open from 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year excluding bank holidays.  We offer both full and part time places for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

A full nursery day session is 8am – 6pm and half day sessions run from 8am – 1pm or 1pm – 6pm.

We also offer breakfast, after school and holiday club for children aged 4-8 years old.

Staffing ratios

Ratios are constantly checked and kept throughout the day to ensure your child receives the most attention and care.  We ensure at all times that we never fall below the required ratios.  There is a contingency plan in place for staff sickness and holidays.  We take students from college who assist in helping in the groups but are not included in our ratios. 

Staffing ratios are kept fully in accordance with national standards of highly qualified staff to children.

Plantos Day Nursery invests in its workers to help them reach their full potential.  All our staff have up to date first aid qualifications ensuring health and safety at all times.
